Think You Know the True Story?
Hey y'all, I’m Karrington! I’m a proud Kentuckian, first-responder advocate, and a lifelong believer in dreaming big. My journey to Miss Kentucky is shaped by my passion for serving others and making a meaningful impact across our Commonwealth. But how much do you really know about me? Let’s have some fun! Below are a few myths and facts about my story... Think you can separate truth from fiction? Let’s find out!
MYTH OR FACT?I grew up in a big city - Myth!I am proud to call Milton, Kentucky, my hometown—a small, tight-knit community with just 500 people and one stoplight in the entire county! Growing up here taught me the importance of connection and belonging. While Milton may be small, I’ve always had big dreams and worked hard to create opportunities that extend far beyond its borders.
Fun Fact: Milton is across the Ohio River from Madison, IN... which hosts an Unlimited Hydroplane boat race every year, the Madison Regatta! |
MYTH OR FACT?I published a children's book - Fact!During my visits to elementary schools to teach kids about the incredible work of first responders, I realized there weren’t many books that truly celebrated our heroes. The books that did exist weren’t technical enough or didn’t teach age-appropriate personal safety... So, I decided to write my own! Teddy and the Brave Brigade is a fun and educational way to introduce children to first responders while teaching them important safety skills.
Fun Fact: Did you know Teddy is a real rabbit!? |
MYTH OR FACT?Majored in art history in college - Myth!Y’all, I can’t even draw a stick figure! As a first-generation college student, I’m proud to be a two-time graduate of the University of Kentucky. I earned a Master's in Sports Leadership, a Bachelor’s in Marketing, and a Bachelor’s in Integrated Strategic Communication. My passion for education doesn’t stop there—I’m a prospective doctoral student and plan to pursue a PhD so I can help students like myself who are eager to explore sports-focused education and make an impact in the field.
Fun Fact: While at the University of Kentucky, I was on staff for the women's soccer program and made history as the first undergraduate student to serve as a Director of Operations in the Southeastern Conference! |

From the rolls to the perfectly cooked steak, it's my go-to spot to celebrate milestones - or just enjoy a treat after a busy week.
